Powder flame spraying applies coating of metals, alloys, carbides, oxides ceramics and cermets. Using either gravity flow of pressurized feed, powder is fed into the gun nozzle. There it is melted and projected by the gas stream onto a prepared surface. In general purpose spraying, the gravity-flow system is used. Where exacting coating consistency and/or high spray rates desired, the pressurized feed system is used.
